My Husbands birthday is the day after the superbowl but i want to plan something on the superbowl day. His team is the cowboys even though they didn't make it i wanna tie that in somewhere. anyway what are some superbowl/birthday ideas that you can come up with? Much appreciated

Cowboy Birthday Tribute Partywhat would you want at a fancy dress 21st birthday party?
Although my 21st isnt for another 2 years, i was wondering what people from other countries thought would be a good topic for a fancy dress/21st birthday party would be and what you would see there (eg, cowboy theme, with cactuses everywhere)?? I'm thinking something along the lines of comedy/humour.
...and I'm from Australia. Maybe the question should be re-phrased to 'what kind of fancy dress party would you have?'
A friend of mine had an 80's party because that was the decade we were born in. We all had to dress as 80's celebrities, we played 80's music etc.
It was a hepa of fun to laugh at the way things were when we were little kids

When Do I send out the invitations? I have alot of family who I want to come and join us to celebrate that special day for my son. any Ideas when? and its a cowboy theme!
I'd send them out by May 18, especially because you say you want alot of your family to come celebrate. It gives them time to plan and prepare to be there. Have fun! You could even make the invites in the shape of horses, hats, or boots!
Music for country/western cowboy/girl style party?
I want to throw my mum a birthday party to remember. i have decided on a theme that's cowboys/cowgirls, with the country bit but not quite so wild wild west (no indians etc). sort of, guys as cowboys, women as cowgirls or those saloon women.
i can't think of much music to suit. i don't want line dancing or country western music all night. all i have so far is old time rock and roll (bob segar), cotton eye joe (ha ha classic), country roads and that's it. can i please have some suggestions?
some fun songs would be "back in the saddle" by matraca berg- "did i shave my legs for this" by deana carter- "when god fearing women get the blues" by martina mcbride, you can hear them on youtube, have a great party.

Preferable Something Inexpensive.. Under £100 And Somehting Involving Lots Of Friends .. I Want Quite A Large Party. Some Of My Other Mates Have Had Themed Sweet Sixteens Like Pirate And Cowboy Fancy Dress, Fancy Dress In General And A Black And White Themed Party Where My Mate [The Hostess] Went In A Red Red.

Need ideas for songs for kids cowboy party?
This weekend we are having a western themed party for my daughter's 7th birthday. I'm going to be downloading some songs to play as background music and during some of the games. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of some good songs to use that would be appropriate for 7 year olds of course. The only one we've thought of so far is cotton eyed joe I think it's called.
Any others?
We just had the same kind of party for my 8 yr old daughter this past spring with pony rides and we had music playing while they were riding and it really added to the experience. We made our own cd of country songs. Songs included:(forgive me if the titles aren't accurate!)

Can't remember them all but we looked at the lyrics for these and chose carefully. I recommend you make your own mix b/c the compilation cds at stores were expensive and some were covers of the songs and not the original versions (i.e.; "Drew's Famous" titles).
