These pix were taken at a cowboy themed birthday party where Tim got to groom, walk, and ride a horse. He did surprisingly well and had a terrific time.

Ok, I'm having two birthday parties. One for Family, one for friends.
What can be the theme of my Friends birthday party? It can't include my home as I live in a duplex until my house gets built. I'm turning 11 years old and I'm a girl.
What can be the theme for my Family Party? It's gonna be at my Aunt's house, she has a pond full of catfish and horses.
Thanks!
When I said Themes, I meant like going some places, like an Aqauriam. !!!!!!! OR something like that.
What would I do at a Hotel?!?!?!!??!
There are lots of thing to do for a birthday party. Maybe you won't have to do a theme but if you want to maybe do like a summer theme with blue and green colors or like a pink theme and mix purple and pink and colors like that together. Here are some ideas you could do for both parties:
Friends Party:
1. Go to dinner and a movie
2. Go shopping at the mall
3. Go to an amusment park
4. Stay at a hotel (I did that once...SO fun!)
5. Watch movies and eat at your house and play games and then go camping in your living room/backyard
Family:
Theme: Have a horse them if there are horses there or maybe again, a summer theme.
1. Have a barbeque
2. Order pizza and watch an indoor movie
3. Buy a swimming pool (an above ground one) or put some sprinkler's in the backyard and get wet
4. Go to the drive-in
5. Go horesback riding
I thought those were some ideas an 11 year old might like...hope I helped!

My daughter wants to celebrate her 8th birthday with a movie night at home. The guests are all 8 year old girls. We are now trying to find a perfect movie: all the obvious ones are out because they might have seen them already or they are to long. We ruled out Harry Potter, ET, Cinderella, High School Musical, Jump, Home Alone, Bratz, Shrek, Robbin Hood, Ghost Busters, Never ending Story, Narnia, Terabithia, the 10th Kingdom, all cartoons, Sea horse , Mean girls, the Parent trap etc. We saw "The Thief Lord" at Blockbusters and it looked very good. The reviews are all very positive and it does not seem much advertised although it came out 2 years ago, so maybe they might not have seen it. My daughter also wants a mystery, scary theme and and not so much a "girl" movie. Should not be longer than 90 minutes. Thanks for all input.
Disturbia
Poltergeist
Hide and Seek
Signs
Id go with Signs, I think they would enjoy it. Especially the scene with the birthday party in it.

How can I throw a surprise Birthday party for a 6 year old? for a girl, it is going to be horse themed. ( Not My little pony but real horse). I need tips, ideas, etc. Also what kinds of food do you think would be good? I am thinking a cowboy type menu. Thanks
food you could have that i dont think will be to costly is Chicken nuggets,Pink lemonade, chips and dip, cake and ice cream.
game you could play is pin the tail on the horse with prizes of little horse toys for the children who get the closest.
goodie bag - have horse stickers, get cowboy hats and sheriff badges from the dollar store with bandanas. little plastic horse figurines, thank you note and a sucker in them.
Craft they can do is make western vests out of brown paper grocery bags. all you do is cut it and wear it like a jacket let kids decorate it.

My daughter is turning 9 in October and she and I have been going rounds about the theme, at first it was to be Halloween NOW she tells me she doesnt want to do that, SO, I am going crazy looking for a theme, she LOVEs horses but not any i have found to show her, I thought of Disney princess but is 9 to old for that theme? I saw a pink theme that says Birthday Princess would that be ok? I am also looking for food and activity advice, it will be a sleepover so activities for that part of the party are also appreciated, its her first big party since entering school and i want it to be a success and not bore her friends... Hannah Montana, High School Musical, yea i think your right Disney princess if for younger girls. I'd say Pizza, because its the easiest thing to handle. You can always do a girly party, where they can paint each others nails, and do beauty things!! Popcorn and rent some movies for the night will work well.

i need ideas for the older kids
As long as the games are shirt,I think they will enjoy them.Horseshoes and pin the tail on the horse (or donkey) both would work.I cant think of any others, but both of these sites had some great ideas.Hope you find what you are looking for.

My daughters 7th birthday Party! Pink Cowgirl theme! I have invited 24 girls! I have a pinata and a craft(painting small horse figurines), but I have no ideas on what else the kids can do!? I'm going to purchase a few hay bails for the gifts and for my daughter to set on when she opens gifts. Weather permiting I will have it in the backyard! We have a swing set that they can play on! I'm just worried that I will over do it and no one will show! HELP!
Kids will always find something to do. In my experience over planning is sometimes worse then under planning. You want some structure but in their minds this is a good way to get to play with their friends.
I say throw some treats(candy, lip gloss, cool pens, glitter) in a cowgirl themed bag and then let them be girls. What you have planned is plenty when you add in the fact that there is still cake and ice cream to be eaten and presents to open and tried out.
