Horse Theme Birthday Party
Make a special birthday for a special person by holding a horse themed birthday party for the horse-obsessed little ones in your life. You know what children are like at a certain age – their obsessions are total and the joy that they get from following them is something for which the value cannot be overestimated. Basing a birthday around the latest obsession in your child’s life allows them to mix their two favorite things – horses (in this case) and birthdays.
Think about it – you can make the whole party about the big love of your child’s life (besides yourself of course), and it will be the most wonderful experience they can imagine. The decorations will be easy – cut out pictures of horses, make banners and add balloons. Just think about the things your child cannot stop talking about – what they enjoy about going to the stables, books they have read about horses, things they have seen on TV. The party almost plans itself.
All parties should have games – and if the word “horseplay” is springing to mind right now, nobody is going to blame you. But you can base these games on an equestrian theme. How about setting up an obstacle course and awarding prizes for who gets around the quickest? Another game that works wonders is the “Pony Round Up” game, where you hide a bunch of toy horses around the garden and set the kids the task of going to find them. Whoever rounds up the most is the winner.
